Guardian will receive the following updates as part of the November 4-6 2026 deployment.
Enhancements:
BDM Export Improvements
Added timestamps to filenames so files sharing the same name are not skipped or overwritten during the export process.
Files with the .zip, .mov, and .mp4 extensions will now be automatically excluded from generated BDM exports.
Files added while modifying an existing case will now be included in the BDM export.
Notification Settings Warning Refinement
Removed the general warning previously displayed on the Notification Settings tab.
Added a contextual warning that appears only when an administrator attempts to disable the "Send Email" notification type.
The warning explains that disabling "Send Email" will prevent users from sending emails of that type through Guardian for the related cases.
Existing sender-side validation remains unchanged.
Historical Data Imports Case Attachment Error Reporting
Updated the historical data case attachment import process so applicable logs and errors are captured in the designated error file.
Error files will provide clearer information when an attachment cannot be imported.
Accessibility Improvements
Addressed identified WCAG accessibility findings involving field labels, required-field identification, color contrast, and the use of color to communicate selections.
Improved keyboard navigation, focus visibility, focus order, and focus behavior within dialogs.
Improved accessible control names, link text, dialog titles, page structure, ARIA attributes, and the communication of selected and disabled states.

Bug Fixes:
Required Field Validation on Incident Report Forms
Corrected an issue that prevented required custom input fields from displaying the expected "requirement not met" validation error when left blank.
Custom IR form question fields that are marked "Required" will now display the standard "Requirement not met" error message when someone attempts to submit an incident report without completing them.
