Guardian will receive the following updates through a phased deployment occurring September 15 - 17, 2026.

Enhancements:

Case Activity Log - Incident Type Change History

  • Enhanced the Case Activity Log to display both the previous and new Incident Types whenever a case's Incident Type is changed.

  • Each Incident Type change will appear as a separate case activity log entry while retaining the user and timestamp associated with the change.

  • This provides a clearer history of how a case’s classification has changed over time.



Location Filtering for Case Views

  • Added location filters to the Workflow and List case views. These filters are available under More Filters and allow users to filter cases by Location, Building, and Specific Location.

  • The available selections follow Guardian's existing location hierarchy. Selecting a location displays its associated buildings, and selecting a building displays its associated specific locations.

  • Filter results update within the current case view.

  • These filters do not change a user's existing permissions or provide access to cases outside the user's assigned access level/role.



Activity Log PDF Export Experience

  • Enhanced the Activity Log PDF export process to help improve application performance while PDF files are generated.
  • When a user initiates an Activity Log PDF export, Guardian processes the request in the background to preserve system performance.
  • Once processing is complete, a download link becomes available within the Activity Log, allowing the user to download the completed PDF directly.
  • This replaces the temporary export process introduced during the previous deployment, in which completed PDFs were delivered to users by email.
  • After this enhancement is deployed, users should retrieve completed Activity Log exports through the in-app download link rather than expecting an email containing the PDF.
